img_0028_editedOur names are Fred and Ro and we do line and couples dancing in the Baltimore, Pasadena, Glen Burnie area of Maryland. We hope you will join us at one or more of our venues. If you are new to country dancing you may find it a little difficult the first several times, however, with some work on your part you will be able to have a great time on the dance floor. Perhaps the hardest part is coming to a class/dance the first time. If you are an experienced dancer we can guarantee you will have a fun time. We have a line and couples dance with instruction on Tuesdays and a dance with instruction on Friday evenings.

We also have periodic dances on Saturdays in the Baltimore area at various locations. Details on these events, including directions, can be found in this website. All of the places we teach and dance are smoke-free. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or just call at (410) 437-8197. Thank you for visiting our website and hopefully we will “see you on the dance floor.” Once a week we send an email with details as to dances to be taught and other special notes. If you would like to receive that Newsletter please send a note to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it asking to be added to the distro.

Human Interest Story PDF Print E-mail

We have been asked to put the following on our website to generate interest in hopefully finding someone who can adopt a particular cat.  Here is her story:

"Her name is Sasha.  I saw an ad on the board at work that this kitty showed up on the person's deck and kept following them around and trying to get inside.  She just sat at their door day and night.  They gave her a bed outside and fed her but could not take her in.  Since I am an animal/cat lover, this weighed very heavy on my mind.  Having two cats myself, I knew that this used to be someone's pet and not a feral cat.  This continued to upset me as the weather was getting colder.  So I called my vet who agreed that we could bring her in the week before Christmas.  Joe drove an hour to the person's house where she was staying.  This is a picture of the vet shaving the matted fur from her belly.  Well, my instincts were correct.  She had a chip...registered to Washington State.  A few days later, a woman called from California.  She and her husband separated, and last she heard he gave the cat away.  She was quite upset but cannot have any pets.  Her name is Sasha, and she is 15.  She is HIV negative, vaccinated, and hyperthryoid but being controlled now with a special food.  Her needs are quite simple....just food and love.  If anyone is interested in opening their heart/home to her, we would all be so grateful."

If you can or know someone who can adopt this pet please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

RELAY FOR LIFE 2012 PDF Print E-mail
Written by Fred Lord
Monday, 01 March 2010 01:11

On Saturday/Sunday, May 5/6 we will be participating in a Relay for Life.  Relay for Life is a fun, family oriented event to raise money for The American Cancer Society (ACS).  People who attend usually walk around a track, however, we will bring a dance floor and dance instead.  We will be located on the other end of the football field from the main activities so that we can have our own music and speaker system.   At 4pm will be the Opening Ceremony where cancer survivors will be recognized and invited to walk a lap around the track.  Following that, people who have formed teams will be recognized and everyone at the relay will be invited to walk a lap around the track.  About 4:30 we will begin dancing.  There will be some breaks in the dancing.  One of the activities for the day will be a Cancer Survivor's Reception at 2pm in the school cafeteria (please complete and mail in the form below).  At about 9pm there will be a Luminary Ceremony to honor survivors and remember those who lost the battle.  Those who make a donation of $10 to (ACS) on a Luminary form (below) are invited to separately send via email a photo of that person.  During the ceremony the photo will be included in a slide show.  This will not replace the Luminary Bags which will line the track.  It is possible to purchase Luminary Bags prior to the Relay so they can be personalized.  Following the Luminary ceremony we will return dancing until about 5am.  The Relay will continue until 6:00am with a closing ceremony.

The Relay is held at the football field at Lindale Middle School, 415 Andover Rd., Linthicum, MD.  Each person is responsible for their own refreshment and food, however, food and drinks are available from a number of Relay teams.  No alcohol/smoking.  Bring a lawn chair, wear comfortable clothing and shoes.  Bring a hat, jacket, and sunscreen.  Canopies/tents are welcome and encouraged.
